Joey Gallo will be back in a Stampede uniform this season looking to make his final year of junior hockey a memorable one. Gallo the 5’11” 175 lb forward from Parma, OH. will enter his second season with the team. The Stampede signed Gallo at the mid point of last year as a free agent that was released from the former Jersey Shore program. Gallo appeared in 23 games with the Stamp in the 2017-2018 season. “Joey came to us from Jersey and had just come off a major knee injury so most of the time last year he battled through pain and conditioning issues.” states Stampede Coach Mike Beavis. “This season he is healthy and should add to our team up front.”added Beavis
Gallo and the Stampede have been working very hard over the past few weeks in preparation for their opening weekend in Maine as they travel up to Biddeford to take on the always resilient Maine, Wild. “I watched some of the Wild’s home opener this past weekend VS Long Beach and they seem to be a young team with some decent speed and don’t give up when things get tough.” States Beavis. The Stampede will look to their veteran experience to set the tone this weekend and have been focusing on key systems that should help them put together a very impressive team for this season.
