Tallmadge,OH. native Tommy Kilway will add some physical size and strength to the Stampede’s offense this season. Kilway, a 1998 birth year player will add some power to the Stampede. The 6’1″ 175 lb forward will play a huge part with this years team. “I watched Tommy play last season and he is a very skilled and physical guy. His role this season will be more of a power forward that will drive the net and jump on loose pucks” states Stampede coach Kyle Althen. So far this year Kilway has tallied 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 games. He is currently playing on one of the top lines for team as well as on the PP and PK units in his rookie season.
“Tommy is adjusting well and is just getting started. I can see signs that he will develop into a very good two way player and should be one of our top producers this season.” added Stampede coach Mike Beavis.
The Stampede will continue to work this week to prepare for a very tough New England Stars team that they will face Saturday and Sunday on the road. “The Stars will be tough this season for sure. Darryl Green is a very good coach and always runs a great program in New England.” added Beavis. This season, the Stars have a large number of veteran players back with the team and are looking to compete for the Coastal division title.
