Legace To Join Stampede

Goaltender Manny Legace will join the Stamp as they return to the ice today for the second half of the 2018-2019 season. Legace from Novi, MI is the son of karen Legace and former NHL goaltender Manny Legace. The younger Legace’s career stems from Novi HS, Dallas Snipers and the Wooster Oilers organizations over the past five seasons. “With the Burgess leaving for Kings College this past week we had a void to fill in net and I was told that Manny was available so we jumped at the chance to sign him for the second half. He has a couple years of juniors under his belt and should be a good fit with us” States Stampede Coach Mike Beavis

Legace may prove to be a huge addition to the Stampede to help bolster the net-minder duties down the stretch. Legace who has some college interest already this season will be looking to impress some schools on the east coast in his final year of juniors. “We will see how things go and where Manny will fit both educationally as well as hockey wise over the next few weeks and begin the process of helping him find the right school.” states Beavis

The Stampede and legace will be back on the ice this week in preparation for this weekends games VS Niagara Falls. The Stamp currently sit in second place in the Northeast holding a seven point lead over the 3rd place Skylands Kings. “We are in a good spot for the start of the second half and will be looking to gain some ground in Binghamton to tighten up the divisional race.” added Beavis
