Scheide Returns to Stampede

Ryan Scheide will once again return to the Syracuse Stampede to compete for the number one spot between the pipes. Scheide the 1996 goaltender from Odessa, TX.  Will hopefully turn some college scouts heads this season as he not only wants to be the Stampede’s number one but also to get the attention he needs to move on to the college level of play.  “We are excited to have Ryan back with us, he is a great kid that works hard and has set a huge goal for himself this season.” stated Coach Beavis

Scheide has been busy this off season training on and off the ice with hopes of securing the number one spot with the Stampede.  He will have some stiff competition this season with the additions of Martin Sten (Huddinge,Sweden) Steven Kozikoski (Liverpool, NY) and Mike Eastman (Verona, NY).  “Only time will tell what our situation will be like come opening weekend,  We have added some depth for sure at the goaltending position.  I have heard great things about Sten, and I have known Koz for quite a few years.  Eastman is very young and we are looking at him for the future but he was very good at this seasons tryouts, enough for us to add him to the mix.” states assistant coach, Jason Lefevre

The Stampede will continue to add a player profile daily going forward to introduce or in some cases re-introduce you to this season’s team.  The 2016-2017 Stampede will begin training camp August 29th at Morrisville State College and are still searching for a couple players to finalize this years squad.  Interested players should contact Coach Beavis @  for more info.
