Soden back to lead Stampede

Hunter Soden will re-join the Stamp for his second season with hopes of securing an NCAA commitment over the course of the year.  Soden, the 5’11 175lb forward from Peqhannock, NJ will be entering his last season of junior eligibility as a 1996 birth year player.  “Hunt is a great kid that works very hard, he is one of the most coachable players that I have had the pleasure of coaching and we are happy to have him back with us again this season.” States coach Beavis.

Soden will be returning to the Stampede as one of the go to guy’s this year and will be one of the Stampede’s leaders both on and off the ice.  “Hunter will have some college interest for sure this season as a ful time student at Morrisville State College, Mustang coach Kevin Krogol has already expressed interest in him for the 2017-2018 season.” added Beavis.  The Stampede staff believes that Soden could be a decent NCAA D-lll player that will get plenty of looks from several NCAA programs to continue his career with.

Soden who played in 43 games last season compiled 20 goals and 13 assists for 33 points as a rookie is looking to add to those numbers while still working hard on the defensive side of the puck.  “It’s great to know that Hunter is coming back this season as he will be a big part of our team being a top line guy as well as his role on our special teams.” stated assistant coach Jason Lefevre.

The Stampede will be returning nine players from last years squad and are filling out their roster with players from all over North America and Europe. currently the Stampede have two forward and two defensemen spots available.
