On Friday January 25th 2019 the Oswego Stampede honored captain Rich Hart who now holds the record for most games played as a member of the Stampede. Hart, from Liverpool, NY. Joined the Stamp in the 2015-2016 season from Liverpool High School. In his four seasons with the Stampede Hart has played in 170 games and has tallied 93 points (sixth all time for the team) Hart passed former teammate Josh Wallace with 163 games played on December 18th 2018 in Blaine, MN. In his final season of juniors Hart has had several schools that are interested in him for next season and will undoubtedly play at the collegiate level next season.
Niagara Falls 2 @ Oswego 9 – Joey Gallo and Ryan Gunther each tallied twice to power the Stampede to a 9-2 win over the Powerhawks. Dimitri Christou, Dylan Gulick, Wade Moak, Chance Ubel and Tommy Kilway also lit the lamp for Oswego, while Adam Morgan and Devin Johnson nabbed goals for Niagara Falls. Ben White earned the 26-save victory, while Josh Mitchell had an active night in the Powerhawks’ cage with 58 stops.
The Stampede will once again face-off against the Niagara Falls Powerhawks tonight at 7:30 PM in Oswego @ “The Fort” This will be game two of the three game home-stand VS the Powerhawks this weekend as the final weekend game will take place Sunday at 1:00 PM The Stampede are looking to widen their lead on the third place Skylands Kings this weekend in hopes of clinching the second place spot in the Northeast division and home ice advantage in the first round of the NA3HL playoffs.
