Stampede look to Defend the Fort this weekend VS Northeast

The Stamp are back in action this Saturday and Sunday at “The Fort” in Oswego, NY. The team will look to keep things rolling in a positive manner as they face off VS Coastal division rivals The Northeast Generals. The Gens are currently sitting in second place in the Coastal division while the Stamp are one point out of second in the Northeast.

This will be a big weekend not only for the Stampede but for assistant coach Travis Hyde as well. Hyde not only played for the Stampede but he also played one season for the Generals before continuing his hockey at SUNY Cortland. “I am pretty excited to get the opportunity to coach against my old team and hopefully grab a couple wins on the weekend.” states, Hyde.

The Stampede enjoyed an off weekend this past week but were back on the ice this week in preparation for this crucial match-up for the home squad. The Stamp will look to move back into second place but will face a very tough Generals team at 13-3-1 on the season nearing the half way point. While the Stamp hold a current record of 7-9-1-1. The Stamp are coming off a huge weekend a couple weeks ago where they grabbed two huge wins from the league leading Binghamton Senators and look to keep things going their way.

The teams will face off at “The Fort” in Oswego Saturday evening at 7:30 PM and again on Sunday at 1:00 PM Stop by and catch all the action live and cheer on your home town Oswego Stampede.
