Stampede Staff Head to Pittsburgh

Mike Beavis will travel to Pittsburgh, PA this week to view some of the best high school hockey players from the U.S. at the America's Showcase in Pittsburgh, PA.  The event takes place beginning this Thursday at the Robert Morris University Island Sports Center and runs through Monday April 18th.  GM / Coach Beavis will be in attendance with members of the Stampede Coaching / Scouting staff for the event.

The Stampede Staff have been very busy in the early off season speaking and working with several potential players to join them as they enter their first season with the NA3HL as the NA3EHL have now become full members in the NA3HL.  The Stampede will also be traveling to Pre- Draft in Boston, MA in May as well as attending a major event in Stockholm, Sweden this June.  "I am really excited about the Sweden trip, It will give me the chance to see some of our former players and families again." Stated Coach Beavis.  The Stampede will travel to Stockholm in early June and will also be a first set of eyes for three D-lll schools while on the trip.  "I will be looking at 96-97 players that wish to pursue education in the U.S. after juniors." Added Beavis.  The Stampede will do some initial scouting for Utica College (ECAC West NCAA D-lll) Morrisville and Oswego State (Both of the SUNYAC NCAA D-lll) as well as for the Syracuse Stampede of the NA3HL.  "There will be several programs attending including Northen Michigan, Merrimack College, NAHL teams and Tri City or the USHL not to mention a few other Junior teams from leagues in USA Hockey and the WSHL AAU programs." Beavis said.

The Stampede have had a long history with Swedish players throughout the years and look to add a couple of impact players to this seasons squad, that they will be able to move on to college hockey the following season.

Look for more Stampede signings that will take place in the near future as they prepare for the 2016-2017 season and be sure to tune in to the NA3HL draft on June 14th for an exciting day of team and league coverage on Fast Hockey.  Please note that the NA3EHL web site has now been merged with the NA3HL  @
