Stampede’s Allen to impress scouts for the future

Matt Allen of Minco Oklahoma  is sure to make a lasting impression on scouts around the country this season with his skill and future potential.  Allen the 2000 birth-year player tendered and signed with the Stampede in late May at the CCM Denver Showcase.  “I never thought that I would go to Denver looking at 96-97 players and end up with one of the best young players I have seen in a long time.” states Stampede Coach Mike Beavis.  “Matt is a very mature kid with a great work ethic both on and off the ice.” added Beavis

Allen spent the off season training very hard to make the jump from AAA to Junior this season with six day a week four hour a day training sessions with Reggie Talkington.  “I know that a ton of guy’s saw the videosof Matt working out in the off season and we were all impressed with his progress and determination.” states assistant coach Kyle Althen

The 5’10” 160lb forward may just have what it takes to move to the next level after this season as Coach Beavis has already spoken with 2-3 USHL teams that will be keeping a close eye on Allen over the season.  ” Matt is one of those players that you know will do well, not only in hockey but in life in general.” Beavis stated.

“Matt see the ice extremely well for a young player and has some decent hands and the ability to create plays as well as find the net” added Althen.  The Stampede will count on Allen and his skills this season with the hopes of being one of the top contenders in the NA3HL.
