It was a tough night for the Oswego Stampede as they were out-shot 41-25 in the contest. Stampede net-minder Ben White made 37 saves for the Stampede. The two teams skated through the 1st period tied 1-1 During the first period, Gulick opened the scoring for the Stampede with a goal at 7:08 with helpers from teammates Moukoulis and Berry. Herling answered for the Stars with a goal at 9:58 with helpers from Cormier and Lempiainen.
before The New England Stars took the lead at the halfway point in the second on a goal from Tyson Gudaitis.
Derek Flynn delivered for his team with 2 assists and Michael Lempiainen did his part, adding 3 assists.
In the second, Norris deposited a goal at 0:21 with assists from Lempiainen and Flynn. Gudaitis put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:04 with helpers from Lempiainen and Flynn.
During the third, Simmonds answered for the Stampede with a goal at 2:30 with assists from Hart and Watterson. Archambeault answered for the Stars with a goal at 16:00 with a helper from defenseman Lovejoy.
This loss brings the Oswego Stampede’s record to (8-8-3-0).
The same two teams will meet again today at 1: PM at the “Fort” in Oswego, NY for the final time this season. In the four game series with the Stars the Stars have a 2-1 game advantage over the Stampede while the Stamp will be looking to even up that series today at home.
