Walker returns to Power Stampede

The Stampede will have one of their top offensive players of 2015-2016 back in their line-up for the upcoming season.  Nate Walker will return to the Stampede as a top forward with the club.  Walker the 5'11 180 lb forward will be back with the Stampede looking to sew up a college commitment this season.  Walker the 97 birth-year from Ithaca, NY is attending Morrisville State College for his second year in as many with the Stampede.  "Energy, That is how you describe Nate" states Stampede assistant coach Jason Lefevre.  "He's a guy when the tempo drops off a bit, even in practice… Nate brings it back to speed." added Lefevre. Speed is just what Walker brings to the table.  "Not sure if I have ever coached a faster guy, Nate is a horse.  He only has one speed and that is, all out fast." states Coach Mike Beavis

Walker led the Stamp last season with 39 points in 37 games and was  +7 on the season.  "He is a guy we will need to count on to help with the offensive push this season." stated assistant coach Kyle Althen.  "I took a good look at Nate during our Pre-draft camp and was very impressed with his quickness and overall speed." added Althen.  Walker could be one of the top guy's in the NA3 this season as he will bring his solid work ethic and the ability to make things happen on the ice for the Stampede.  "He is for sure a D-lll player with the skills and energy he brings to the table and should get some decent offers for moving to the college level this season." stated Beavis.

The Stampede will hit the ice for training camp on August 29th at Morrisville State College and will play a couple pre season games on September 9th and 10th before hitting the road to Biddeford Maine to face the Maine Wild for the opening weekend of the 2016-2017 NA3HL season on September 17th and 18th.
