Stampede Hosts successful tryouts

The Stampede hosted a group of hard working Junior hockey hopefuls this past weekend at their new digs on the campus of Morrisville State College.  Several players from the U.S. and Canada were at Morrisville for the two day event.  "We had some talented players from all parts in attendance this weekend and they all competed hard for roster spots with this years Stampede" stated GM /Head Coach Mike Beavis

The Stampede which are in the second season of the program rebuilding process were very impressed with quite a few players that are hoping that Syracuse will be the fit they are looking for.  Several players were spoken with about the possibility of joining the Stampede for this season with several already making the comitment.  The Stampede is looking to once again regain the top spot in the league and feel that with the recruiting season they are having that could be a reality.

The Stampede moved into their new home this past weekend and potential players were exposed to the facility and their staff to much of the delight of all.  The Stampede has it's own locker room and staff office within the Morrisville Ice-Plex as well as use of other college areas related to it's program.  The Stampede will also have a few players attending Morrisville College this season for a jump on thier college education.  "We couldn't ask for a better situation for our players.  Skating daily in a college arena is nothing short of pure exposure for our players as well as all the players in our league." added Beavis

The Stampede hopefuls were also welcomed by Morrisville College Head Coach, Kevin Krogol who was in the rink on Sunday and checked in quickly to wish all the players the best of luck in thier tryouts. "Nothing short of pure professionalism and genuine support for players by Krogs" stated beavis in refrence to Coach Krogol's well wishes for the players.

This just adds to the Stampedes motto  "A Proven Pathway to College Hockey"

The Stampede will be updating it's roster for the 2015-2016 season over the next several weeks along with player signings, announcements and stories related to this seasons Syracuse Stampede.

The next recruiting event for the Stampede will take place at this years Pre-Draft in early May where Coach Beavis will be meeting with sevral European players interested in joining the Stampede.  The Stampede will also be in attendance at NAHL camps for Odessa and Johnstown at the end of May.
