The Stampede will hit the road Friday to meet divisional rivals The Wilkes Barre Miners in a three game series that should prove to be a very interesting match up. Both the Stampede and the Miners are searching for a way to enter the win column early on this season. "We have been in every game to this point but just can't find a way to win." States Stampede coach Mike Beavis. The Stampede lost to Roc City last Friday evening and played well through two periods. "A couple of bad goals in the third cost us big time, mistakes early on with a young team are bound to happen, as long as we learn from them we will be OK." added Beavis.
The Stampede will it the road at noon on Friday and will play at 7:30 pm at "The Rink at Coal Street" on Friday as well as 1:00 PM on Saturday and will finish the weekend on the road with an 11:30 AM start on Sunday. The Stampede have juggled the line-up this week to prepare for the trip to Wilkes Barre and are looking for big things from their top players. "It's time that guy's step up and show they belong here, we have several players with junior experience and the adjustment period should be over." stated Beavis
